Authorities: Foo Fighters Concert Was Target for Foiled Courtney Love Plane Hijacking
LONDON - Sources inside Scotland Yard are reporting that were it not for the quick thinking and brute strength of a Virgin Atlantic flight crew, popular rock group the Foo Fighters might very well have fallen victim to a plot by rival rock singer
Courtney Love to steer a jet plane into their sold-out show at the Nassau Coliseum.
Love was arrested upon arrival at London's Heathrow Airport Tuesday after her attempt to wrest control of
Flight VS8 was foiled by flight attendants, who wrestled the controversial widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain to the ground. Love, who has been involved in a lengthy legal battle with Foo Fighters lead singer and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, was reported to have threatened to begin singing unless the aircraft's pilot surrenedered the controls.
Love's previous victims include her career, her credibility, and the goodwill of her husband's legions of fans.
