Tipster to FBI: "Psych!"

WASHINGTON, DC - "Made you look!" was how accused immigrant smuggler Michael John Hamdani reacted to the news that the Federal Bureau of Investigations had determined that his tip regarding five Muslim men who entered the U.S. illegally was a hoax.

Hamdani apparently concocted the story of the five potential terrorists in an effort to have the charges pending against him dropped. The bogus tips resulted in a nationwide manhunt starting Dec. 29th, and led FBI Director Robert Mueller to vow "Man oh man, Hamdani--come April Fool's Day, you'd better watch your back."

In related news, the FBI rescinded its bulletin warning rural Americans to be on the lookout for a pack of maneating snipes.
