So, now that the whole apartment thing is pretty much all worked out, I'm more than a little concerned about what's going to happen to this blog. I mean, everything is painted, and relatively clean, and the person I live with is sane, and isn't a junky. It has been years since all of those things were the case. Living with Sam came the closest. We were pretty good, but frankly two boys living in an apartment together . . . there's only so many times that bathroom is going to be cleaned, especially if those boys aren't making out. There is some amusement to be had, since I'm living with a cat in addition to my girlfriend. But quite frankly, there's only so much you want to hear about how cute the cat is (and, just as frankly, only so many times I can deal with jokes about 'my girlfriends p#$$y,' you know?). The cat is really cute, though. Here, let me show you a picture.
Seriously cute, right? But I don't get a lot of mileage out of that. Especially since I'm completely incapable of writing in that cutesy voice that the girl from cuteoverload.com (you know, the one that makes you want to claw out your own eyes? If the pictures on that site weren't so absurdly cute, I'd definitely have to have some serious words with the author. Literally serious, not containing the words "Awwwww," "Baroo," or anything ending in "-ersons" (such as "Lick-ersons.") )
Had some friends over the other day to do some professional-level geeking out. One of those geeking out sessions that actually involve multiple people in the same room, not speaking to one another for hours on end. There were a few IMs going back and forth, but that was just about it. Good times. One of the individuals was an acquaintance of mine, named Seth. Friend of Ben's, and definitely good people. While I was looking for some Benadryl for Ben (who is allergic to Alex the cat, which is somewhat problematic, since I'm not planning on getting rid of either of them anytime soon), Seth sat down in my captains chair and started to work.
Now, I'm fairly set in my ways. And one of my ways is 'Don't sit in my chair.' I don't think it's unreasonable. I mean, it is called 'My Chair,' you know? But I don't hang out with Seth very often, and I didn't want to cause any friction by booting him out of my chair, so I let it go. But after a full night of geeking out with him, I think our relationship has progressed to the point where I'd call him a friend. Which means the next time he's over - I'm telling him to get the frack out of my chair.
