I don't want to be one of those blog writers who constantly puts up the name of the album that I'm listening to whenever I write an entry (although I should. All the music I listen to is super hip. If it wasn't, I wouldn't listen to it). But I have to tell you: right now, you should be listening to DJ Shadow's Entroducing. It's so awesome. Actually, it transcends awesome, and goes straight to sublime. If awesome were sugar, Entroducing would be a pixie stick. Not one of those regular pixie sticks - One of those three foot long ones that come in the plastic tube, 'cuz paper just can't deal with the amount of sugar (awesome) inside.

Home life has been static (that is to say, no more of a complete and utter travesty than usual). I've decided to wait no more, and I'm looking for a one or two month sublet. I've heard some good word of mouth about me moving in with this guy, Sam (the lead singer and trumpet player for Ton's band, Agent Double-O Zero). Which is huge, but wouldn't be until November or something. And I can't really wait that long anymore. Time to go. So I'm craigslisting like it ain't no thang. But if any of you want to make my life easier, feel free to tell me about sublet opportunities you hear about.

Much of my home time has been taken up by my computer and cd collection. See, I've decided that everything in my life will be wonderful if I get an iPod, so that's what I'm going to do. Originally, the plan was to buy it the day I finish ripping all of my cds. But I've got a lot of cds (think two orders of magnitude above three, and you've got the number, give or take). And ripping them takes a really long time (I calculated that it will take 48 hours straight ripping time), and I'm not quite patient enough for that (I've been at it for about two weeks now, and I'm just less than halfway done). So the time table keeps moving up for the purchase. Last week, I was going to buy it when I hear whether or not I'm getting more money in my paycheck anytime soon. Two days ago, it was when I get my next paycheck (next thursday), regardless of amount. Today, I decided that I'm getting it as soon as the batteries in my diskman run out. And I've been letting it play all morning in my bag, so there's a distinct possibility that I'm taking a trip to the Apple store tonight.

Oh, and then there was this weekend. Which was a really good weekend. ADOZ show (see above), dinner party, rooftop party for a super-cool friend of mine... Although I keep forgetting what it is I do on Fridays. I wonder why that is... Ah well. And there was another episode of the Sopranos on Sunday, and all signs point to another one next Sunday. Really, there is very little in my life to complain about. A lot in the world, but my life and the surrounding world have always kept a cautious distance from one another; To be honest, I like to keep it that way.
