Disaster: 5-28-2002

Woof. Worst upkeep of a blog ever. Not only did I neglect to write an entry on Friday (just completely forgot about it), but Ben told me that Thursdays entry read really close to an earlier one. The way I figure it, no one else pays any attention to me, so why should I? And I missed Mondays, but that was excusable (Memorial Day and all. What with me not having a net connection at the apartment, getting any content on the site over weekends is a little tough. Don't have a modem, so I can't dial up to the AOL connection I don't even have).

But I'm back now, and isn't that what's important. So, more apartment news. I switch rooms in the apartment this weekend. Moved from the upstairs room to the larger, less head-damaging downstairs room. Switching rooms wasn't that difficult - it mostly just involved moving all of the crap that was left in the room by Jorge to the landing upstairs that Jeff is using as storage. For that matter, a lot of the stuff in that downstairs room was Jeff's as well. As far as I can tell, a goodly portion of the apartment is set aside for use as Jeff's storage space.

I thought a list of things that I had to take out of the room might be entertaining to peruse:

  • Deck of cards (52 cards, no jokers: Actually put into my desk drawer)
  • Circular saw
  • Hand saw
  • Glass jar full of unpopped gourmet popcorn
  • 14 Playboy magazines (inc. Natural Beauties, College Girls, 2001 Lingerie, and the Lara Croft issue)
  • Two cordless hand drills (broken)
  • A Playstation 2 (broken. Such a disaster. Well, maybe not such a disaster) w/ two controllers
  • A Nintendo
  • More tea candles than you can shake a stick at
  • 1 copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (so huge)
  • Pocket guide to NYC
  • Assorted electronics (portable phone, cellular phone, wires, etc)
  • 2 bookshelf stereo speakers, 2 heavier-duty stereo speakers (now attached to my reciever, for what is now appx. 500 Watts of output power. Again, so huge)
  • Multiple mirrors of varying sizes

And it's really that last entry that is the point of todays blog. I now have multiple mirrors, and most of them fit very well into the spaces that are made by supporting struts on my ceiling. I really want to put all of the mirrors on my ceiling, if only just to see what it's like for a while. The question is: How creepy is that? If I bring some girl back to the place (and it's bad enough that I have to bring her to the barrio, can I justifiably subject her to a mirrored ceiling? Email me.
