VILLEFORDSHIRE, VT - Waterbrook University alumni the world over were bummed out today, as the release of the
Waterbrook Alumni Magazine chronicled yet another month rife with the swings of the Reaper's grim sickle amongst the University's 1925 graduating class.
"The purpose of the
'Alumni Notes' section of the magazine is for former Waterbrook students to share the joys, successes and milestones of their lives with the Waterbrook community at large," said Andrea Miller '83, Alumni Notes editor. "Unfortunately, when you've hit ninety, there really aren't a lot of milestones left. Tombstones--now those they've got plenty of."
Sure enough, the Class of '25's section in the December issue of
WAM recounted four deaths, including those of Dr. Albert T. Winthrop, Arthur Wallbash, Charles Windsor Sykes, and the Rev. Thomas Alcott Allen. The necrology was not complete, however, as Class Scribe Simon Kirby Josephs passed away shortly after filing the report.
"Now I've got to take over the thing myself," said Miller. "Christ Almighty. I guess I'll try to look on the bright side--at least it's not as much of a downer as the Class of '24."
