I seldomly ever get sick. And when i do, it's usually during the winter when I don't care. But I woke up this morning with a serious sore throat, and it's making me really unhappy. These things are always worse in the morning, and so right now it ain't so bad. But I really am not looking forward to tommorrow morning. Getting out of bed for work is bad enough, add the insult of a sore throat and the entire situation is nigh untolerable. Actually, it seems like the injury is the sore throat and the insult is having to wake up, but that's neither here nor there.
My roommate was talking to me yesterday about how he's going to put up a webpage with his art, and the manner in which he's going to do it, and explaining web technologies to me. I let him go on, because he really just loves to talk. Really made me want to laugh, though. "Oh, *that's* how you make a web page? I see."
I don't think I'm going to be signing a lease for my apartment when the current lease is up at the end of July. Things are getting to be a little sketchy around there, to be honest, and I'm worried that if I take over the lease I'm going to be in the middle of problems between Jeff and the current landlord. And I have no interest in taking responsibility for damages that Jeff caused (mostly painting related). He's really interested in having me sign, that makes me really wary as well - every conversation we've had about it is all him trying to sell me on the apartment, and I don't like that so much. So I'm looking for a new apartment again. It's a fairly good time. I'm thinking East Harlem for my next residence.
And finally, I just called a friend of mine, and her mom answered. She was really psyched about the haiku I have as my answering machine message at work. I'll share it with you:
Heavy copper lines Sway under a weighty load. Your message is safe.
Huge. Oh, right, almost forgot what this was supposed to be about. Jeff hasn't opened any of the bills he's been receiving for the past few weeks, and so our DirectTV was cut off a few days ago. To be honest, I was pretty happy about it, since the NBA finals are ostensibly over and I've seen just about every episode of NYPD Blue and Law And Order in existance. But he came home yesterday and wanted to watch The History Channels "History of Punishment" so he called and had it reconnected. Since it's all digital, time elapsed between phone call and reconnect was under 20 minutes, which I thought was pretty cool. My point, however, is that I'm damned if I'm paying a reconnect fee 'cuz he's a jackass who doesn't pay his bills.
