Housemate Ties: 5-20-2002
So, welcome back to the blog. Today, I'd like to thank all of you who wrote such glowing emails over the weekend, telling me that they appreciate Autobiographically Too Flat. Well, by "all of you" I mean Dov Alima. But getting email comes up huge, so thanks; and I'll do my best to keep updating AutoTF as often as possible. Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to respond to Max, who asked the Fish "What's the fuck?"
Max, I couldn't have put it better myself.
So, not so much exciting has happened this weekend. I'm considering moving rooms in the apartment. I like the way I have my current room set up, but I'm thinking that if I stay there much longer I'm going to start to get chronic neck pains. See, the ceiling in my room is only about 1-2 inches higher than my head. I'm not claustrophobic, but I do like to stretch my legs everyonce in a while.
Actually, if it was only that, I'd probably stay. But there's also a few sprinkler pipes running through the room, as well as a load bearing strut that goes down the middle. So whenever I want to go from one side of the room to the other I have to duck under it. It's getting a little tiring (emotionally, not physically). And I've gotten a callus on my forehead from whacking it on the pipes so many times.
But really the only thing I needed to do today was relate a brief anecdote. Friday morning, I woke up and got ready for work. As I was doing my toilette, Jeff asked if I could tie his tie for him, since he had an interview that day and never learned how. Which I thought was pretty funny. Right before I left, I asked where the tie was. He lay out three or four of the things and said "Actually, could you do them all? That way I just won't have to deal with it ever again."
