Q. Is this the same as getting a membership?
A. No. Users and members are different. Getting a username is free. Memberships cost $10 and help us pay for out web hosting, bandwidth, contest prizes, and Wegman's subs. You also get a membership card, bumper sticker, letter, title, and lots of other fun stuff with your membership which you don't get with a username.

Q. So what does a username get me?
A. First and foremost, you get your own username. Secondly, the ATF homepage will say "Welcome back (your name)" when you visit. Might not be much, but it's free and Kenny Freedom has wanted this feature since we opened All Too Flat.

Q. What's it in for you?
A. We use users to gather demographic information based on your surfing habits and tailor our banner ads accordingly. If you spend most of your time on this site reading about funny and geeky things, the ads you see will all be for similarly funny and geeky products.

Q. Do I have to give my real name?
A. No, but if you give a fake name, every time you visit you will read the message "Welcome back (fake name)" which will make you feel guilty every time.

Q. What's the deal with the fish word?
A. A while back we had a problem with malicious users writing scripts to automatically sign up for free ATF accounts. To circumvent this problem we make you enter in a sting of text that would be difficult for a computer to do automatically. To do this, put your mouse cursor over the halibut above. Do no click and wait a second. A banner of text should appear. Enter the first word of this message into the fish word box.

Username:		* Required (at least 2)
Password:		* Required (between 2 and 12 characters)
Full Name:		We'll use this to say "Welcome back, Full Name" when you come back to ATF. If you lie, you're only hurting yourself.
Email:		This one is optional. We're just kinda curious. And as always, don't flatter yourself- we won't sell your address to anyone.
