Day job follies (Attentiondeficitdisorderly Too Flat)

September 16, 2007

Day job follies

Well, how's this for a folly: I've been laid off. Hey, no hard feelings. The upshot around here is that I can blog about comics again, so we'll see how that goes.

Comments (26)

Eileen:

Goodness, I'm sorry :( That sucks.

Damn, Sean. Here's hoping you find something better soon . . .

Sean - Very sorry to hear that. Good luck with the job hunt.

Sorry to hear about it, Sean. I have no doubt you'll get into something better soon. All the best!

Welp, there goes the only thing that brought me over to the WIZARD site. Best of luck to you, Sean, though I'm thinking that a sharp guy like you won't need too much of it.

I know it sucks right now, but I had your job a few years back and getting laid off from Wizard was the best thing that ever happened to me -- and I'm sure it'll be she same for you.

Onwards and upwards!

That sucks, Sean. I'm really sorry to hear it. Their loss, though, and I'm sure you'll land on some wonderful jobba firma soon.

Ben Morse:

I'd rather you were still here, but I'll take getting to read about comics more here as a consolation.

Frank_A:

Damn, sorry Sean.
Good luck with job hunting!

sean:

Aw, you guys! Thanks! It means a lot. And thanks also to Tom, Dirk, and Heidi for their links and kind words.

ricKey:

I can't wait for your first new post.

Also, I'm gonna send you some of the half-year-old-leftovers from the fridge in case you start missing this place. Andy just tossed out a tupperware thing with black liquid inside. BLACK!

also, miss you.

Harry Wang:

Good luck Sean. Now who is gonna tell me my sig is too big?!

Kupocat:

I'm really sorry to hear that. :( My best wishes are with you, and good luck!

rwe1138:

Good journey Sean. Hope you find employment, gainful or no, soon.

Father Shawn Colton:

May your glass be ever full.
May the roof over your head be always strong.
And may you be in heaven half an hour
before the devil knows you're dead.

redbold:

it sucks that you lost your job...hope you get something cooler....like a stripper!

Anonymous:

Please, don't blog about comics again...

Kiel Phegley:

Is it just me, or is the last person who posted a fucking dick?

Missing you,

- KP

Mel Caylo:

All the best, Tiberius. Anything you need, just ask.

Spidey_82:

Good luck in whatever you'll do from now on, Sean.

This place is already full of WUMB regulars, eh?

Brian W:

It would indeed seem that this blog is turning into something of a country home for the WUMB brigade. It's too bad you don't allow gifs on comments, amigo.

Wade Gum:

Sorry to here this. You'll always be the man to me, especially for the time you grew that redneck mustache. Have a tallboy of PBR on me sometime.

Bruce Baugh:

Playing catch-up here: good wishes for whatever the next step turns out to be!

sean:

Thanks again, everyone. And welcome to all the WUMBats!

NickVinson:

Oh.. I'm sorry dude. You'll get gainful employment elsewhere, no prob. =D

TUBE1:

First off, sorry to hear about your job. However, think of it this way, you can do much better than the "W." Also, does anyone else feel that someone should buy the mag from the Shamus. Everyone in their head office has lost it! Save WIZARD from itself!
